'No breakup': BTS tops the Billboard 200 chart for the sixth time

Again, BTS has topped the Billboard 200, which is the US Billboard's main chart, with their new album.

As of 19 June(local time), the US Billboard announced that BTS's new album 'Proof', released on the 10th, topped the Billboard 200.

According to Billboard, BTS recorded 314 thousand sales in the US for the first week of release.

The Billboard 200 determines the ranking by combining conventional sales with the figures converted from the number of streaming services and downloaded digital-sound sources; they said 'Proof' taking the top was achieved by the number of conventional sales.

BTS has hereby topped the Billboard 200 chart six times with 'LOVE YOURSELF TEAR', 'LOVE YOURSELF ANSWER', 'MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA', 'MAP OF THE SOUL: 7', 'BE', and 'PROOF'.

'Proof' is an anthology album made by BTS themselves to commemorate their 9th anniversary since their debut, including original songs with three new songs.

BTS has announced that they will bring their group activities to a temporary halt and do individual work. This announcement provoked the rumour of their potential breakup and a dramatic plunge in the stock price of their management agency. On that account, the representative of 'HYBE'(BTS's agency), Park-Jiwon, as well as BTS members, had to clear up the rumour in order to dispel the concerns.
